Covier is a genre bending quartet comprised of vocalist and guitarist Aaron Jefferis, bassist Wes Shumacher, lead guitarist Arun Chandrakanthan, and drummer Sam Argueta.

The group began in 2019 as the Ypsilanti bedroom solo project of Aaron Jefferis, who met the other members in 2022 after moving to Detroit and joining the artist collective "Don't Wait Until Tomorrow". In 2023 Arun, Henry Vanfletteren (bass), and Jojo (drums) joined the band full time and set to work on a debut album alongside a run of shows around Michigan. 

After the Departure of Jojo and Henry in 2024, the project dropped into a bit of a lull before being revived in 2025 by the arrival of Sam on drums. The trio completed recording "Doppelgänger, Poltergeist" January 2026 and were shortly thereafter joined by Wes to round out the band once more.
